Pointe Safe was developed to share a system of proven safe advancement of pointe work from the field of Dance Medicine. The students are trained in the tests they will need to pass to become Pointe Safe. The 8 week training program helps students who need help passing the tests so they can successfully transition to pointe. Training groups are limited to 10 participants online and 10 in person and are taught by professional ballet teachers who have been trained in the Pointe Safe system. Classes are once a week for 60 minutes and students will be expected to do their homework for 5 days between classes. We use a test model to help these students and the teachers to determine if the student's goals are being met.
